Escape Pod

The original science-fiction story podcast- it was honored (and very excited) to read for them!
This particular story was fun to read, as I was able to play with my voice a bit.

---

Tina tugs on Kindred’s bullet-tattered red cape. “What kinda tricks do you do?”

Kindred shakes her head as if bewildered by the question. “Tricks?” She glances back at Megaton, who now juggles three Jersey barriers about a hundred meters out in the devastation.

“Let it go Kindred. We’ve been through a lot.”

“Well that’s good. So now you’re free to put on a carnival. Get everyone together and onto the jet now. And I mean now!” Her voice is so loud it draws everyone’s attention away from the show.

Megaton drops the Jersey barriers and the ground shakes.

Kindred lowers herself to one knee beside the little girl. “My trick is special,” she says, “I can make the whole circus disappear. Abracadabra‚Äî”

Rated PG. Contains superhero violence and organizational politics.

Pseudopod

A spin-off of the ever-popular science-fiction story podcast Escape Pod, Pseudopod is a horror-story podcast that I was definitely happy to read for!

---

The sisters sat in the back seat, bundled up against winter, as the car idled in the driveway. Julie hunched low, staring at the seat in front of her; Emma slumped against the opposite window, staring at the snow that blanketed the world, staring at her friends, lying silently asleep.

“You’re such a freak,” Julie snarled. “You’re always causing such problems. Why can’t you just be normal.”

“I’m hot,” Emma croaked.

“Well, it’s like thirty degrees out there, have at it,” Julie said, and unclicked Emma’s seat belt.

Emma bounded from the car and ran to join her friends, feeling the refreshing rush of snow on her face. They cheered as she rubbed the ice into her skin, feeling weight lift from her lungs. She breathed in the cold deeply, and became more alive: she noticed the tang of pine in the air; smelled the dirty heat of the car’s exhaust.

She felt a deep hatred for her sister rise. Her friends felt it too. They didn’t need to be told what to do.

Podiomedia Chat

Host Chris Moody was kind enough to ask me to join him on his interview show. It was another good time- and he interviews all the cool kids. Why did he want me then? Who knows... but hey another excuse to do what I do best- talk!

Robotz of the Company

A show that never failed to make me giggle since I began listening. So to be a regular on the cast- well, it's just so much fun I can't even begin to tell you. Just call me Kika, and she debuts in the Season 3 finale', which is HIGH-LARIOUS in itself.

It is possible to listen to episodes out of sequence, but to familiarize yourself with the characters I would certainly suggest going back and catching up.

Which you will totally want to do when you hear this episode. :-)

Variant Frequencies

This is an awesome science-fiction/suspense/fantasy/horror story podcast. This was a short and sweet "flash fiction" piece that I absolutely loved to read. I enjoy the darker side of things... At least with a short story you get right to the point. ;-) I definitely hope to be asked again to read for them.

Billibub Baddings and the Case of the Singing Sword

This was a fun jaunt for me. Not a huge role, but a bit pivotal come the end, in a plot-supporting sort of way. My role is Daphne, the hat-check girl, who is a little more than she lets you see from the outside appearance. The best part for me, in this role, was how I exited. :-D

It was also the first time I heard a podiobook recorded in this fashion. Half-book, half-audio drama. Full-cast, sound effects, the whole shabang. Bravo, Mr. Morris, Bravo.

(Note: Although these chapters contain Daphne's role in the book, I highly suggest listening to the entire story all the way through. Trust me, it will be entirely worth it!)

The Dark Building Lounge

My first interview!

A chat I did for Dream Realm Enterprises' interview series "The Dark Building Lounge" The way they set it up, it's an audio cinema experience in itself! You feel like you are sitting in a big comfy chair drinking coffee with the host! This was recorded before Season three of Robotz of the Company began, and the clip played in the interview is from the role I played as the Ghostbot of Santicon Past in the spoof of A Christmas Carol (mp3 forthcoming).

Barfly

Barfly is a now "pod-faded" short story show, which has a great mix of read stories, poetry, and acted dramas. I was honored to be in two episodes.

The nice thing about podcasting is although the show is faded, the episodes are still available, and are never outdated.
